Angelica offers the opportunity to collaborate on a truly custom piece of jewelry that tells a rich story. Whether you have your an heirloom stone or would like stones to be sourced, she will work closely with you to bring your vision to life. Angelica makes everything from start to finish in her New York-based studio using a variety of methods (learn more about the jewelry-making process).
CUSTOM DESIGN STEPS
1. CONSULTATION
After making an appointment, your project will be discussed with Angelica at her New York studio. If you have stones, you should bring them with you to this appointment.
Measurements will be taken (ring size, wrist, etc).
Angelica’s on-hand collection will be reviewed to establish design inspiration.
2. DESIGN / ESTIMATE
Together you will go over preliminary drawings to gauge your design preferences.
After getting a clear picture of your project, an estimate will be provided. Please be aware this estimate is a rough guess, as final costs will be determined after knowing the metal weight needed.
A 50% deposit of the estimate is required to get started.
3. PRODUCTION
Early in the work process, another appointment will be scheduled for a fitting and to show you roughly what is being made. At this time, you can still make changes.
1-2 more meetings may be required during production for fittings, viewing stones, etc.
A final meeting will be held before a custom wax piece goes to the casting. This will be your final approval, after which no more changes can be made.
4. DELIVERY
A time will be scheduled for you to come pick up your finished piece and the final payment will be due.
All custom projects are final sale.

Can you recycle my existing gold or silver?
Angelica doesn’t offer the reuse of clients’ metal. Since there is not a capability to cast in her studio, Angelica sends that work to an expert caster who supplies the gold or silver. Goldsmithing projects are usually crafted in 22 karat or 18 karat gold alloyed by Angelica in her studio.
Can you work with existing gem stones?
Yes, Angelica’s custom projects often include client’s existing / heirloom gemstones.
How long can I expect my project to take?
In most instances, you can anticipate a 4-6 week lead time, depending on the project.
Do you work with clients who are not local?
Yes, Angelica can work with clients who cannot meet in person via a Zoom or phone meeting. If your project includes your existing gemstones, they will need to be shipped to Angelica’s studio in order to give an estimate and start the project.
Please note that Angelica is not responsible for incorrect sizing / measurements for remote clients.
